Graceland

I’m finally catching up on posting about my road trip! Today up on the blog is all about our stay at Graceland. Finally the kids and I got to see Elvis though my eyes!!

Outside of the Graceland Museums across the street from the house.

The infamous Pink Cadillac that Elvis gave his mother Gladys! Interesting fun fact, Gladys didn’t know how to drive!

Cash doing his best impression!

All of us with white gloves. I’m in the back room holding Elvis’s microphone! ahhhh!!

I’m just catching up from the road trip and finally writing my Graceland post! Finally we all made it to Graceland! This is my 3rd time visiting Graceland, 2nd time for my parents and 1st for my kids! I was sooo excited to show my family the amazing new Guest House at Graceland and of course Graceland itself!  The guest house is an amazing new hotel that is located right next to Graceland and is all Elvis themed. Check out my previous post from when Josh and I stayed there back in April!

We checked in, enjoyed the room, then hit the pool! We then grabbed some drinks at the bar and I hummed along to Elvis tunes with fans that were equally as ecstatic as I was!  The kids and I played corn hole then had a fab bath and changed for dinner. We enjoyed a casual dinner in the hotel at EP’s Bar and Grill. I love a pulled pork sandwich and they make a fantastic one!! My parents enjoyed drinks at the piano bar while the kids and I put on our comfy robes and watched The 68 Comeback Special!

The next day, we had breakfast at the hotel then jumped on the shuttle for our ULTIMATE VIP TOUR!!   This tour is the best and so worth the money! It was my family and another couple; it’s a 2 hour guided tour that has the most spectacular ending. You put on white gloves and get to actually hold one of Elvis’s microphones! AHHHH!  As a true die hard fan, it really doesn’t get any better than this!!  We finished our tour with lunch at Glady’s Diner and YES I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich!! It was sooo good!!

All in all, I was thrilled to be able to share the beauty of Elvis, his home and music with my children. I wanted them to really get to know the man that their Momma has been obsessing over for so long and really gain respect for him! Mission accomplished! Next on my bucket list Elvis Week 2018!!   Till we meet again …
