Summer Time

Summer is finally here! The 3-months we look most forward to each and every year! School is almost out, the weather has warmed up and and all we can think about is sandy feet and salty air! This year, I have tons of fun summer travel planned. I am going home to Connecticut to see family, back to the Big Apple for a few days, exploring European cities and some much needed beach time! I can not wait to dive in head first !! But first … what should one pack for all of these fab adventures!?

Lets start with the basics- do you have a great suitcase? The suitcase is always that travel necessity that tends to get neglected. I treat my carry on bag like I would a beautiful pair of Italian leather heels or the a pair of earrings that go with everything!

No matter where your travel is taking you (cars, trains or planes) it’s important to have a suitcase that is good quality and durable. The last thing you want is for your poor suitcase to break in the middle of a trip. Here are some of my favorite carry on bags to get you through your summer travel and beyond.

When I am packing for a trip, I try to imagine where I will be and what I am going to be doing – will I be a tourist walking tons and sight seeing or am I headed for a chill beach stay? Either way, there are certain items I pack in my carryon no matter what. It is really important to pick a hue or color patellate where lots of items can be interchangeable (mixed and matched). Wear your sneakers on the airplane so they can double as your walking shoe. Make sure your cute flat saddle can also be worn with a dress to dinner etc. Make sure to pack a blazer or cardigan to keep you warm during the day but then double as a more dressy look for a chilly dinner soirée.

Summer Skin should be happy healthy, glowing and sun kissed, or at least the illusion of being sun kissed 🙂 I do not go any where without my 111Skin Eye Patches. They are the best for jet lag or a few 2 many glasses of vino. I also love an overnight hydrating mask…who has time in the morning to wear a mask? Simplify your skincare routine and hydrate while you sleep and wake up to illuminated skin. I also love cream stick shadows and blush for summer time, it keeps your skin looking dewey and summer refreshed and it’s so easy to apply! *** Don’t forget sun block!! My favorite is Elta MD’s tinted sunscreen. It offers great sun protection while giving your skin a slight tint with the perfect amount of coverage to smooth out your skin.

Swimsuit season is here, are you ready? It’s all about the chic one piece this summer! There are so many awesome ones out there, I love a one piece worn with a pair of shorts and a fab sarong. Here are some of my favorite pieces whether you are looking for a bikini or one piece.
