How fab are these jeans? I recently wore them for a shoot with NYDJ and they are hands down the most comfortable pair. The little blue jean is a closet staple! Each fall, I find myself buying a new pair of jeans that I know will become the ones I wear on a daily basis. Whether I pair them with sneakers to take my kids to school, or dress them up for date night out, I know they will be my trusty jeans for the season! Here are three ways I like to style my jeans: Continue Reading
Beach Lunch Lounge is one of my favorite brands, especially when it comes to button down shirts! I bought a shirt from them last summer and now swear by this brand. The quality is amazing, the fabric is so soft and the patterns are super hip and chic. Obsessed is an understatement! I have featured some of my favorite shirts from their latest collection below. I am a jammie girl through and through! If I get home and know I don’t have to leave my apartment for the rest of the day, I slip into my jammies and I’m in for the night (even if it’s 3pm). My kids are the same way; we are all about our pajamas, robes and cozy slippers (or UGGS in my case). I think my PJ game evolved somewhere around the time I had my first baby. Gone were the days of wearing my husbands T-shirt to bed. Since I was spending most of my time in my pajamas and had numerous visitors, I realized it was time to step up my pajama game. I discovered matching 2-piece PJ sets and have worn them ever since. Continue Reading
When I think of fall I also think about prints such as gingham, velvet, corduroy and of course, plaid! This is the time of year when plaid really has a moment to stand out and shine. All the fashion catalogues and store windows incorporate plaid in some capacity during this time of year. I like to think of it as the unofficial announcement that the season has changed and fall is in full swing. Continue Reading
Growing up, my Dad and uncles would hunt behind our house. I always remember how they would get out of their trucks wearing fleece camo jackets. Well, here we are, 20 years later and I just bought this fab fleece camo jacket from Nordstrom. Ha! Who would have thought those hunting jackets would one day be stylish and trendy? I feel like all I have to do is raid my parents coat closet to find the latest trends in fashion: (chunky sneakers, plaid shirts, shearling coats…I could go on and on). Good news, looks like my Pops is a super cool dude and ahead of the fashion game lol! Continue Reading
Camo, camo everywhere! My husband keeps telling me “enough with the camo” but I keep saying you can never have enough camo. To me, camo is similar to neutral tones such as white, taupe, ivory or black. I feel as if you find the right shade of camo, it basically pairs well with just about everything. If I’m late and need to run out the door, I throw on my camo jacket and I’m off. I feel like a camo jacket just pulls a look together and adds a little something extra compared to a jean jacket.
Enough about camo jackets and lets talk about these Madewell camo sweats! How fun are these? They look great with sneakers but they’re also perfect to wear with a cozy sweater and comfy Uggs. Here are some of my favorite camo items of the season so far: Continue Reading
Shearling coats scream fall to me! Each season, I dig back into the depths of my closet and pull out my oh so trusty shearling coat. This is one of those fabulous and seamless styles that will be trendy forever! If you don’t want to buy a new shearling coat this fall, just raid your moms closet! I bet you she has one in there you can borrow! Ha!
The cropped puffer is a look that has become super popular. All the biggest celebs are wearing cropped puffers in the most unique ways. Think Kim K wearing a cropped puffer with biker shorts…Ok, so I can’t bring myself to style it out that way but it works for her! However, I can totally join in on the cropped puffer trend! If you live in a super cold climate (like me), this is a great transitional coat that can be layered. I wore mine with a comfy long sleeve shirt from The Striped Sheep but it can honestly be paired with anything.
