Remember earlier this season when leopard was everywhere? We all jumped on the leopard band wagon, (technically I am still on the band wagon as I love leopard print). The latest trend is not only about leopard but all sorts of animal prints, especially snakeskin. So I am officially declaring it the year of the snake!

Did I just say neon!? Yes I did! Neon is in! This trend is hot hot hot through summer and right into fall. I went for the monochromatic look in head to toe neon green. Nervous about going bold this fall!? Don’t be! Jump into the hottest trend of the season.
I was working on my fall content for you all and came across so many cool variations of leopard print clothing. I am seeing leopard EVERYWHERE and have added a few pieces to my own wardrobe. I have compiled some of my favorite leopard looks in todays blog post.
September is in full swing and thank goodness this lovely weather is still holding up which means I am going to wear my shorts while I still can! Before we know it, it’s going to be all about the sweater weather. Today, I am throwing back to my summer in LA. This picture was taken while I was spending the day in Venice on Abbot Kinney.
I used to live in Venice and I am so in love with this area! It’s changed sooo much since Josh and I lived there nearly 10 years ago eekkk. The shopping and restaurants are amazing and the street is filled with super cool graffiti (you all know how much I love graffiti for a great photo op). Haven’t been to Venice?!? On your next trip to LA make sure to add it to your list! It’s the perfect way to spend a day (if you can find parking) LOL!
Sadly, summer has come to an end but I am happy to say that fall fashion has arrived! About halfway through summer, I start my fashion forecasting, browsing through magazines, looking for fall inspiration in order to stay ahead of the trends.
To my delight, the Bloomingdale’s catalogue arrives in the mail every summer just in time to start my fall shopping. It’s the perfect way to transition out of summer and into fall, just in time for New York Fashion Week.
Ahh the summer farm stand! It’s something that I grew up with in Connecticut. We looked forward to fresh veggies and corn every summer and pretty much ate it everyday! I don’t hide the fact that I DON’T cook BUT I can boil water and the good news is I can put together a salad. Thank goodness Josh is a master on the grill so we manage just fine! It’s definitely easier for me to put together a meal during the summer. There are farm stands all over the Hamptons! In East Hampton/ Amagansett area my favorite farmstead is Balsam Farms !! Always the best of everything, including corn, pies and fresh flowers! The best place for a quick breakfast sandwich and cup of coffee is Mary’s Marvelous. For pre-made foods, Round Swamp is the best. They have fresh summer salads, pies…you name it. They have great things to take to a dinner party! For fresh fish, Stuarts Seafood is my go-to, it’s a little off the beaten path. The best thing about summer at the beach is the dress code! Pretty much anything goes, jean cut off’s, a maxi dress, a beach cover up! Casual chic at its finest! Have fun this summer!
Normally I would say summer in the city but in this case, summer out of the city is the way to go! Have you ever visited NYC in the summer!? As much as I love my city, it is truly miserable in July and August. Hot, steamy, sweaty… not cute! Soooo most New Yorkers like myself, head out of town. This has been one of the best summers yet filled with traveling adventures! I loved every minute of our travels as a family even though I feel like all I have done is pack and re-pack. The good thing is that all of the clothing that I bought in the spring has proven to be worthy of all of this awesome travel! This date night, I am wearing this amazing dress I bought at Nordstrom in the spring by Elan. Believe it or not, it’s actually a swim coverup!
The beauty of NYC and my downtown “Fidi” neighborhood is that there is absolute abstract beauty everywhere you turn! I am convinced that I was a tour guide in my past life or destined to be one in the 2nd half of this one! lol! If you follow my Instagram stories, you know I tend to be obsessed with tours. I really want to know what things are, who built them, the meaning of how thing in history got to be! Is that too much to ask for? LOL !!
