Summertime and the living is easy! Well…kind of! Just about the only thing that is easy in life right now is getting dressed in the morning. Summer always allows for soft, easy and breathable fabrics. Silk is one of my favorite fabrics so I have quite a few go-to pieces I wear in the summer. I recently found this fab tie dye silk ensemble at Bloomingdales! Since we are on the topic of tie dye, I am also obsessed with this jumpsuit, the latest and greatest addition to my closet. Two of my favorites looks for this summer season!
I think just about the only cool thing about social distancing is exploring new fashion trends and one of the biggest trends for staying inside is Tie-Dye! It’s cute and cozy and will still be “cool” once we are out of this!
Tie Dye for days! This is a trend that hasn’t ever really gone away (thanks to hippies and of course, kindergarten teachers around the world). However, this season, it’s definitely become more mainstream than in the past. When every designer, from Balmain to Walmart, has tie dye looks in their collections, you know that it’s officially a “thing”.

Dresses, sweats, home decor…the possibilities are endless! This Tie-dye trend is not just for the kids, it’s suitable at any age! It looks like we are all continuing to self isolate throughout this summer, so all of these tie-dye trends are perfect for a backyard BBQ, front yard social distancing soirée or a cozy zoom call with friends!

I say go for that new pair of high quality yoga pants that you know you’re going to end up wearing at least twice a week, trade in those stilettos for a versatile slide that you can wear to dinner or your next coffee run. It’s time to accept the present and be in the here and now. I am not asking you to toss those beloved sweatpants away…I am just suggesting it’s time for all of us to step up our fashion game. Let’s remaster our wardrobe and start dressing for a bright, bold and happy summer!
This year, home for the holidays has a whole new meaning. For my family, it means slowing down, unwinding and staying home while dressing up in cozy and comfy clothes. It’s all about snuggling up in warm trendy layers and soft loungewear.
We are all still adjusting to the state of the world and our new “normal”. We started off this fall season with back to school fashion looking different from previous years. It was all about comfortable clothes for at home schooling or reusable masks for those who attended class in person. Here we are, almost six months later and my kids are still at home wearing their comfy lounge sets. Some days it seems harder than others to adjust to our new way of life but luckily, we have Walmart adjusting with us, helping us through the process!

Back in March during quarantine, I heavily depended on ordering just about everything from Walmart. I just purchased some much needed cold weather essentials because believe it or not, it gets COLD in California. I ordered this fabulous leopard print puffer coat by Sofia Vergara; it’s warm, chic and the quality is on point! I also ordered a few pairs of jeans and sweaters from Scoop that did not disappoint. The color options are endless and I guarantee you will find that perfect cozy sweater you will wear all winter long. Looking for that perfect jacket that won’t break the bank? Look no further! I also found this chic long plaid wool-blend coat that is the perfect transition piece. You know what else has been a huge hit since last season? The faux fur vest! I finally ordered one this season and am loving the light leopard print. Since the beginning of quarantine, I have been into finding super cute lounge sets that can be worn to run errands or relax around the house. I just found this tie dye set and am completely obsessed! It comes in numerous colors and is beyond soft, comfort has never looked so good! I paired mine with a pair of Muk Luks and I guarantee this will be my go-to snuggle up set of the season.
