For all New Yorkers, Century 21 is an iconic department store located in downtown Manhattan. Although there are a few locations, the Flagship store can be found in the heart of the Financial District. If you’re anything like me, you visit the store at least once a week to check in on their latest sales and spectacular finds. Many people don’t realize that Century 21 is pretty much a one-stop-shop. You can find everything you need or want, whether it be makeup, perfume, clothing or a new eyeglass prescription. How convenient is that?!?I am in the shoe department weekly looking for the latest and greatest heels and boots. My son is obsessed with the toy and electronic department and my daughter is all about the dresses. I just discovered they have a coffee and matcha bar inside the store so this definitely gives me life considering my new coffee habit! The best part about shopping at Century 21 is the incredible prices on some the most luxurious brands. I have found numerous clothes and shoes that I wanted to buy at the designers store but couldn’t justify paying the full price. I personally love finding designer items at a discounted price…who doesn’t?!? Century 21 is a department store that has something for everyone.
Last week when I went on my “mommy spring break cruise” I stopped at Century 21 to pickup all of my essential items. I wanted to freshen up my summer wardrobe without breaking the bank. I separated my cruise packing list into four separate categories: day outfits, dinner outfits, semi-casual and swimwear. I also knew I would be attending an Oscars party so I planned for that occasion as well. I found everything I needed at Century 21 (including sunscreen).
I knew I would be playing the ultimate tourist at our stop in Key West, so I wanted to pack an outfit that is comfortable to walk-in yet chic enough for a fabulous lunch. This jumpsuit by Kisuii was absolutely ideal; it is the perfect blend of linen and trendy enough to wear from day to night. I added a trusty (leather) backpack to complete my version of a “chic tourist”.
Next on my list, swimsuits! Since I already own a few bikinis, I wanted to try some trendy one-piece suits. I knew tan lines weren’t going to be a issue since I had a spray-tan done ahead of time, so why not try something edgy and fun! We often get stuck in our own ways and need to remember that fashion is ever evolving. I also needed a cover-up that would look nice enough that I could wear it to lunch on the island. I am obsessed with this floral v-neck ruffle mini dress. It ties at the waist so it’s super comfy and can easily be worn any type of swimsuit. It also looks great on its own and you can definitely wear it as a cute summer dress. Smart shopping is all about buying piece that are versatile and can be worn over and over again.
I was also looking for a maxi dress that I could wear on the ship while attending events. This dress was ideal because it’s not too dressy but looks perfect for a meeting or event during the day. It’s also sooo perfect for happy hour cocktails on deck. If it gets a little chilly in the evening, wear a denim jacket and you have a fabulous transitional dress that will look great for both spring and summer.
And the OSCAR goes to…ME for scoring this amazing Vera Wang gown for the Oscar party. It is such a stunning floor length gown that is guaranteed to make you stand out in the crowd. I felt elegant and sexy but was also so ecstatic I scored on an amazing deal!!! Whoop Whoop!
I had such an amazing time on my cruise but now I’m back in snowy NYC dreaming of summer weather. Next on my agenda…a trip to Century 21 for my family’s Easter outfits! Stay tuned to see what I find!
