The white summer suit is always my favorite! I can’t resist the clean white and sun kissed skin and of course it matches with everything!
When I was in Dubai this past Spring, I wore this fab white bikini. I can’t resist the color, it matches with all of my sunglasses, hats, cover up’s and sandals. I know what you’re thinking… white is hard to maintain. I have linked below a few of the washing tricks I use to keep these suits squeaky clean!
A few things to remember for suit longevity-
- Always rinse out your suit after swimming – pool or ocean ! (Wear your suit right in to the shower to save time!)
- Hand washing your suits is ideal but you can also wash them on the gentle cycle in the machine but use a protective mesh bag, gentle detergent and cold water. Air dry flat.
- To keep colors from fading (rinse rinse rinse!) And use one of these special washes: Woolite darks and Cheer for darks. (These also work wonders for jeans)
- Keeping white suits white – dissolve a half cup of baking soda in about a gallon of cold water, soak the suit for 1-2 hours, then rinse well and air dry. If that doesn’t work try White Brite.
- Pilling bathing suits can easily be fixed with a Fabric Saver. Good Luck and Happy Swimming!
