I recently had the honor of hosting The Makeup Date at Bloomingdales Kings of Prussia as well as in Bridgewater, NJ! What a FAB event! I absolutely love makeup, so I was very excited to learn about the latest and greatest trends; It doesn’t get much better than hosting an event at Bloomingdale’s! If you haven’t heard about The Makeup Date, you definitely need to check to see if this event is scheduled at your nearest Bloomies!
The Makeup Date is basically your ticket to this seasons red-carpet worthy makeup trends. It is such a fun event because makeup artists/experts from each company present the latest products as well as explain and teach you how to apply your makeup. It is the perfect opportunity to stock up on everything you need to keep yourself looking young, fresh and in line with this seasons hottest makeup trends!
One of my favorite parts of The Makeup Date is the INCREDIBLE giveaways! I can openly admit that I was envious of the lucky winners. The gift baskets were over the top and fabulous, filled with everything you could possibly want and need. Each brand that showcased their latest products participated in a gift basket raffle. La Mer, Bobbi Brown, La Prairie, Dior, Lancome and Clinique are just a few brands that participated in this great raffle.
Although I honestly loved all of the products, my two favorites were from Sisley and La Prairie! Sisley has this incredible neck cream that firms, refines and remodels- it gets rid of the “gobble, gobble” and prevents us from looking like a turkey… I know you might not have it now, but trust me sister, it’s coming! Do what you can now in order to prevent wrinkles and firm your neck!
I’m also loving the La Prairie caviar concealer and foundation; it’s a bit pricey but so, so, so, worth it! It is rich and creamy and feels as if you are giving yourself a facial when you apply it. The coolest feature is the magnifying mirror that pops up when you open the container. How cool is that?!? What a brilliant idea!
So lets get to the outfits I wore to each event. I wore a gorgeous dress by Reiss at the King of Prussia event. Reiss has such a great collection that is extremely versatile and perfect for just about any occasion. I love the dress I wore because it looks flattering on every body type and hides all of those unwanted areas (if you know what I mean). Definitely check out their fall collection- such fab designs!
I also love the outfit I wore to the Bridgewater Makeup Date. Kobi Halperin is an extremely talented designer that has created looks that are part of the 100% Bloomingdale’s collection. So this outfit is EXCLUSIVE to Bloomingdales- make sure to take a look at their upcoming looks for this season. (P.s. these are the most comfortable pair of dress pants I have ever worn).
Last but not least, I was so excited to include Pop of Color at both Makeup Date events! I recently launched my fall collection so I was thrilled when Bloomingdale’s asked me to include Pop of Color at the event. While some people shopped around, others decided to get mini manis provided by Lespri Spa Services (if you ever need a mani or other spa treatment for an event, I highly recommend this service).
All in all, I have nothing to say but great things about The Makeup Date! Definitely check it out, I promise it’s worth attending.
