I hadn’t really shopped at Free People until recently and am starting to fall in love with their clothing! The quality is great, the styles are trendy and the price point is ideal.

This is the perfect dress for summer! It’s lightweight, easy to throw on and the hottest color of the season. Orange not your color? No worries! It also comes in a beautiful vibrant blue. I had a hard time deciding between these two colors but decided orange was more my color. Pair this dress with a fab pair of slides, some statement earrings and call it a perfect summer day.

Very rarely do I actually get to shop in an actual Nordstrom but boy oh boy, when I do, I feel like a kid in a candy shop! I spotted this cropped army green cargo jacket right away and was drawn to the color. Army green is one of my faves and I really do consider this color to be more on the neutral side. It pairs well with anything so I guess it is on the same level as a denim jacket! When I realized it was made by Topshop I knew it was going to be pretty good quality and extremely affordable. I immediately tried it on, it fit, I loved it but the cropped factor was a bit of an issue for me. I wasn’t sure I was vibing the crop but I am here to say that this is a current trend and when styles are trendy, just GO FOR IT! The super safe way to wear a cropped jacket is with a long piece like a maxi dress, jumpsuit or monochromatic look underneath (aka black jeans, black tank). BUT don’t be scared of a cropped jacket, it actually looks great with more than you expect! I also have worn it with a high-waisted skirt and bodysuit (looks super chic). I love on trend affordable pieces like this because it updates your wardrobe and keeps you feeling young and stylish! Below are some more super cute crops:

Summertime has us up early and out late! Looking for something to wear that can take you from desk to dinner? I know I am!

I have been searching high and low for the perfect pair of army green slacks. I find that I am always reaching for a pair of jeans on my casual days so I wanted to switch it up, “spice” it up if you will. I know you are thinking that a soft washed pair of army green trousers is hardly “spicy” but to me, it is! Especially when it’s so hard to find that perfect pair. Each season, I put away my winter gear and switch it out for summer staples. This season, I found myself shopping in my own clothing and I was pleasantly surprised at how many great pieces I had from seasons past! I was relieved to find that my shorts and sun dresses were still intact and in style (so were most of my other pieces)! Every few months, no matter the season, I buy a new pair of jeans, but I was missing the cargo style army green trousers!

First comes the dresses, and then comes the travel! LOL! At least that’s how my mind works. If you buy the dress, the destination will come! Each summer we all plan our wardrobe depending on where we will be going. Well, I know I do! Heading to the beach? You will be looking for something lightweight and breathable. Touring a new city? I always want something chic and comfy (and preferably with pockets)! Headed to a gorgeous island? You probably want something bold and bright with patterns! So where do you find all of these fab looks? ! Banana Republic!

TGIF- thank goodness it’s Friday! I’m running some last minute errands today to get ready for…guess where I am off to tonight!?? Ahhhhhh I am going on a Celebrity cruise to Europe! My bags are packed, the kids are taken care of (Josh, good luck and stick to the schedule and planning that took me a week to sort out) lol. I can’t wait to give you all the details of this epic voyage with Sasha! Follow my IG stories for the next week! If you haven’t been on a cruise yet, I am going to convince you to try one! I have traveled all over the world and I have found that being an a luxury “hotel/resort” on the water is the best way to go! Bon Voyage! Celebrity Edge here we come!

In one of my previous posts, I wrote about my latest linen look from Bloomingdales. Well, I was so impressed by the quality of my skirt and cami from Eileen Fisher that I decided to go back for more! I was eyeballing this cute organic linen jumpsuit last time I was there but didn’t have time to try it on (I was running late to my ladies lunch at Forty Carrots). Anyway, I had been thinking about it all week long and decided it would be an ideal look for summer, especially when paired with a simple yet perfect pair of white sneakers. 

My new favorite lunch place is called Chloe in the Seaport! When the weather is nice, it’s the perfect place to sit outside and look at the water while enjoying a delicious meal! The weather has been so wacky lately…it was 40 degrees and freezing on Monday, now it’s in the high 60’s and muggy. So, I have found that the safest clothing option is to wear a jean, mule and blazer. You can’t go wrong with this outfit but definitely jazz it up with pink, pink, pink!
