People always ask me what is the best type of coat to wear during this crazy time of year. The calendar says it’s spring but the thermostat is all over the place, right? How many days have you all left your house in a puffer coat and by lunchtime, you are sweating and regretting you didn’t wear a denim jacket? Or worse…you leave your house in a thin duster because it’s “warm” outside and by the evening, you are absolutely freezing because it ended up being an unreasonably cold day. EEEEEK the worst!
OK…so the solution to all of our problems is the trusty trench coat! It is tried and true and has been around for a million years (thanks Burburry…#GOALS). The trench is a classic staple that is a statement piece! It works in any city and any climate. Going away and need a coat? Take your trench! It’s a great layering piece too. Once you have your staple taupe trench, have some fun and play around with a variety of colored trenches! I just found this pink one at Banana Republic and love it! It adds a spring in my step on the gloomiest days!
