Blossoming into Spring

Blossoming into Spring!

The cherry blossoms are out and that means it’s officially SPRING (and allergy/runny nose season LOL)!!! It’s time to put away your hats and coats and free up some closet space for warm-weather clothing (finally). This spring is all about mixing and matching patterns. This trend used to be such a fashion faux-pas but not anymore! Nowadays, mixing prints is a definite MUST in the fashion world. Wearing prints is so much more exciting than throwing on a one-toned outfit. You will always look chic and trendy yet still professional.

Many people feel like mixing prints makes an outfit too chaotic, but if you mix and match the right way, there is nothing to fear! A trick I learned is to make sure to mix patterns on the same color palette! For example, I am wearing a simple black pencil skirt with a fun flare black and white striped top and some leopard pumps. Although the leopard pumps have a different texture, they still mix well with the outfit because it stays in line with the color scheme. I paired this look with a bold clutch to add a little Pop of Color! Fashion is all about making a statement, SO, my advice is to forget about the rules and have some fun with your outfits!!

This looks fabulous. I have bought the top on eBay as JCrew sold out. I am looking for the other pieces now. It’s winter now in Melbourne so when Spring arrives in September I will have a super look like you!
