Puerto Rico Chritsmas get away at the El Conquistador

During the holiday season, we usually visit family in either Connecticut or Los Angeles. This year, Josh and I decided we wanted to take the kids somewhere fun. We all needed a REAL vacation, away from the cold! The four of us needed some R and R and quite time!

I don’t know if you all feel the same way, but I’ve noticed it’s really hard to get in quality family time because of everyone’s hectic schedule. As much as we try, someone always has something going on, whether it be work, soccer practice or swim classes.

This year, we gave ourselves 10 days of schedule-free family time! We really wanted to spend some quality time together and focus on the kids with no interruptions. After spending Christmas in CT with my family, we flew to Puerto Rico where we did nothing but relax and enjoy each others company. We flew direct via Jet Blue and made it to San Juan in just less than 4 hours! Such an easy and quick flight! Some friends of ours recommended we stay at El Conquistador because they have numerous kid-friendly activities. WOW, what an amazing experience. I am so happy we took their advice! The resort had everything from water slides and private beaches to family activities and yummy buffets.

The hotel grounds were lovely, lush and tropical. El conquistador is HUGE and everything you can possibly imagine in conveniently located in the resort. There was no need to leave the area.

The weather was also perfect; about 85 degrees every day with an occasional welcomed rain shower. All in all we had a fabulous time! The kids loved the water slides and mini gold while Josh and I were all about staying by the beautiful private beach. Upon return to NYC, we were ready to take on 2016, full steam ahead!
