Kingsley is 4!!! She was born on January 24th, 2012. When I was pregnant with her, I was so fearful that she would be born during a snow storm and I wouldn’t make it to the hospital haha. Luckily, in 2012, we were in the clear, but this year…not so much. Her birthday party was a day after the massive Jonas Blizzard hit NYC. Even though a crazy blizzard was at it’s peak, Josh, Cash and I put on our snow gear and trudged threw the snow to pick up Kingsley’s cake. Thank goodness all our guests were walking distance from our apartment and able to make it to her party!
I LOVE to throw a party, especially if it’s for kids. What’s a party without a theme?!? Kingsley decided she wanted a Care Bears party this year. I had so much fun picking out all the Care Bear goodies and making the party favors!!! I’m all about clear cello bags and a pretty ribbons! Kingsley gave her guests Care Bear key chains as party favors! I ordered them in bulk and they were relatively inexpensive and a HUGE hit!
Entertainment at a kids party is a must! I hired a magician as the main attraction and a face painter (who doubled as a balloon artist) as “The Appetizer”. I have to admit, the adults enjoyed the magician a bit more than the littles ones but he finished strong by pulling a REAL bunny out of his hat. You can’t beat that!!
I’m so relieved my mother in law and all of Kingsley’s friends were able to make it to the party after the blizzard! I think everyone was so happy to get out of their homes after being snowed in for a whole day! Until next year!
