BEST of NYFW
Here we are… another New York Fashion Week bites the dust! Not to be a party pooper but Fall fashion week is much better for various reasons! The weather is nice, there are more events/parties, you still have that summer glow and you don’t have to worry about slush on the ground. (Slush and suede pumps don’t mix well…at all…). With that being said, this NYFW kicked off with a HUGE blizzard! All schools were closed and so were the majority of businesses. I was surprised to see people in stilettos the first day; I was joking around, saying I expected to see most people in UGG and Hunter boots!
I wanted to tell you about a couple of fun Fall 2017 fashion trends that really stood out! You can check out my full detailed NYFW post HERE on .Luxury but below is a brief recap.
The Lanyu collection was all about beautiful pastels, lace, metallic and block heeled sandals. In terms of makeup and hair, colored eyebrows are going to be a hit as well as hair ribbons! Fantastic tinted eyebrows with bold colors such as red, green, blue and purple! This is a fun trend to try for a night out!
Georgine was all about embroidered black leather, velvet and studded motorcycle jackets!! LOVE this designer, definitely one of my favorites.
Francesca Liberatore featured layers of lace and velvet as well as designs with prints and sayings.
Vivienne Hu’s collection was HOT! Her collection was a perfect mixture of outerwear that focused on tailored coats to dramatic furs and everything in between.
Sherri Hill was all about sequins and beads for days! This is the ideal designer to look at if you are searching for that perfect black tie dress. Embellished velvet platform sandals were also a big hit!
