So this was the first Arab Fashion Week EVER. How cool is that? I was so excited when Sylvio asked me to close his show. I was honored; it’s a huge deal to close a show. I haven’t walked the runway in quite some time but it felt awesome! People joke but it’s really like riding a bike; just feels natural to me. The models were super high-end and flew in from all over the world. It brought me back to my early days of modeling. Without sounding cheesy, these are my roots. Modeling is something I’ve always been passionate about. Going to watch shows during New York Fashion Week is always such a blast but there’s something to be said about actually being an integral part of the process. For Sylvio’s show, I wore a stunning, black evening gown. It was classy and elegant yet sexy. For my hair and makeup, they were going for more of a gold, bronzy look.
There were numerous shows a day, starting at 1pm and went until 9pm. After the shows, there were awesome events. One night, we went to the Cavalli nightclub. It was great because we started to recognize and mingle with the people who were going to all of the shows. They have a great community of fashion lovers in Dubai so we fit right in. It was really such an amazing experience!
