It seems silly to put the words leather and spring in the same sentence but it’s actually quite normal to wear this fabric while transitioning into spring. For example, today, it’s 40 degrees and raining but it is technically spring and I see a tree blooming with cherry blossoms. Oh spring, she is trying really hard to come out and bring on that beautiful and much needed sunshine. While she tries, we can test out the various new trends of the season.
Culottes have been all over the runways the past few seasons and last summer, my go-to shorts were actually a pair of oversized culottes. At first, I thought culottes were going to be a fad, but I was wrong, this super chic trend is here to stay! I am loving these leather culottes and they are going to be all the range from spring into fall. I love the oversized look paired with a crisp button-down shirt and bootie or pump.
P.S. Can we talk about how cool this location is?!? I shot some photos at the newly refurbished TWA Hotel at JFK Airport. It’s ahhhhhhmazing and I can’t wait to go back. It is straight out of the 1960’s and I was in complete heaven. Such a beautiful hotel with adorable rooms, chic common areas, a rooftop pool overlooking the runway and a Jean George restaurant. What more could you ask for? I will definitely be booking a staycation at the TWA!!
