Today’s the day to go out or order in a cheese pizza. Nothing beats a delicious slice of cheese pizza; my family orders at least one a week.
We have a great spot across the street from our apartment where we can just walk in and get slices or get whole pies delivered. Sometimes the best spots are the not-so-fancy-ones. They’re the best at no-fuss pizza.
NYC is home to some of the greatest pizza spots in the world One of my favorite’s is Lombardi’s in Little Italy. However, be prepared to wait, but it’s definitely worth it. You can sit yourself on one of the park benches outside that offers awesome Soho/Little Italy people watching!
Forcella is another fab pizza spot located in the Flatiron District. Other than the delicious cheese pizza, they have great appetizers–check out the grilled octopus and the truffle fries! 🙂
Keste in west villiage is also great. Keste meaning “this is it” offers an assortment of 50 traditional pies along with a variety of gluten-free options.
Brooklyn is the perfect place to explore and hunt for the yummiest pizzas!
We head over to Brooklyn whenever we can to taste some of the borough’s best.
Lucalis is a fab little restaurant tucked away in the heart of Carroll Gardens. The restaurant used to be an old candy store in the 50’s and is currently a staple in the neighboorhood. Lucalis is small and romantic often frequented by Jay-Z and Beyoncé. I also love that the owner Mark is always right there in the kitchen making pies. It’s BYOB but if you forget drinks, there is a liquor store right around the corner. The dessert pizza is worth the trip in itself!!! Keep in Mind that its CASH ONLY just like my fun Philip Lim T-shirt 🙂
Roberta’s is a gem! The menu is extensive complete with octopus app and amazing daily pizza specials. It’s the kind of place where you can not go wrong with a thing on the menu. Sometimes we have the waiter do the ordering for us. This restaurant offers a great indoor experience and a fun year round outdoor beer garden to have a drink while you wait for your table.
Have a slice for me!
