A Day at Dylan’s Candy Bar!
The kids had the day off last week so I decided to be supermom and plan a fun day in the city! I heard Dylan’s Candy Bar had a great restaurant and I knew it would be the perfect place to take the kids while squeezing in a little holiday shopping. We woke up early and took the subway to 59th street. The kids were SOOO excited! The windows were just getting dressed in their holiday best and there was a crisp breeze in the air. I knew it was going to be a great day! As we entered the store, the kids stared in awe looking at the colorful candy. We walked around the store and picked out stocking stuffers and cute gifts for friends and family. I had to buy these delicious turkey chocolates…they are going to be on my Thanksgiving table without a doubt! We continued to walk around the store and the kids had a blast exploring! There are so many different types of candy; sour candy, chocolates and my personal favorite…candy that reminds me of my childhood. There is also a wall filled with signed jars displaying celebrity’s favorite candies. Isn’t that fun? Cash had such a good time looking for his favorite sport players. Kingsley was more interested in eating the candy… haha
How cool is this Magic Candy Factory Machine! You can upload a photo or selfie and the machine prints out a 3D gummy flavored candy. Kingsley had such a blast making her gummy. It’s all done on a an iPad so they kids were super involved in choosing what shape, flavor and topping they wanted on their tummies. You can also pick from stock photos… Kingsley opted for a slice of cheese pizza.. lol! But they have tons of different shapes to choose from. It’s completely edible and lasts up to a year (no need to be refrigerated). This a super cute idea for an invitation, holiday card, thank you note or just a fun gift for a friend or loved one!
Ok…so my absolute favorite part of the store is the delicious café on the third floor! They have this beautiful restaurant that is perfect for families. They serve yummy food for both kids and adults- it’s so nice when a restaurant caters to both adults and children. I can order a delicious BLT or salad and my kids can order chicken tenders or grilled cheese. Dylan’s also serves these INCREDIBLE specialty drinks filled with gummy sharks in a sugar-rimmed jar. My kids were obsessed with this drink! Another great aspect of the restaurant is the fact that they serve unbelievable adult beverages. I had no idea!! Now…let’s talk about desserts. OMG! They are over the top delicious and just perfect! Cash ordered a strawberry milkshake that was topped with cotton candy and whipped cream. It was the best milkshake I have ever tasted! I ordered a warm cookie with ice cream and it was just perfect. It tasted like a homemade cookie but 10 times better! This is seriously one of my new favorite places to visit in the city. Whether you are a tourist or live in the city, you HAVE to stop by Dylan’s Candy Bar and treat yourself to a delicious meal.
DYLAN’S Candy Bar for the HOLIDAYS!
I love all of Dylan’s fun gift sets! They are absolutely perfect for the holidays and they even look fab as a table centerpiece. They also have these great pre-packed HUGE gift buckets filled with all kinds of yummy candy. This is the perfect place to grab any last minute holiday gifts! You can’t go wrong. Why not bring delicious candies instead of wine to a dinner party this year?
