Quarantine is over thank goodness but my hair is a constant reminder of how long it’s been since I’ve had my roots touched up! If you are a blonde with a dark root or any woman with grey, you know what I’m talking about…! This was hands down the longest I have ever gone without getting my hair done. I kind of just embraced my natural hair color and ran with it but had a LOT of help from my trusty Temporary Root Powder from Clairol.
It’s Makeup Monday! I am always looking for something new and fun to spruce up the old faithfuls in my makeup bag. My friends at Cover Girl sent over some new goodies for Fall and I was so excited to try them! They sent me so many fab products but the Liquid Lid paint is my absolute favorite; colorful little tubes of water proof, crease proof, fade proof liquid eye shadow.
Since we are all wearing masks, it’s all about the eye makeup! Out with the bold lip (or any lip for that matter) and in with the bold eye.
Here are 4 of my favorite eye palettes, one for each mood: the subtle eye. the smokey eye, the sultry eye, and of course, the bold eye!
Just because summer is coming to an end, it doesn’t mean the sun has to set on your beauty routine! Sunset eyes are a fab look to wear throughout fall. This palette highlights all of falls best colors and has all the awesome hues that just came off the runway. To achieve this sunset eye, simple apply an orange toned base color all over the eye and up towards the brow. Apply a darker shade in the middle of your lid and blend outward. (No worries if you blend too far out, you can always clean it up with a wipe or beauty blender).
Now that we are all masked up, what do we do with our lips? Just when you thought you wouldn’t be able to wear your favorite lipstick again, I found the perfect solution…long-lasting smudge proof lipstick! Wearing a mask doesn’t mean that you have to say goodbye to bold lips. Instead, say hello to some of my favorite long-lasting lipsticks!
Now that our new normal includes wearing a mask in the heat of summer, I’m sure we are all thinking the same thing…MY SKIN!!! UGH…I have already noticed a huge huge difference in my chin and lower cheeks that has lead me to put my facialist on speed dial! Wearing a mask saves lives but it also may cause…masknee…here are some tips on how to avoid breakouts!
The floral lip trend, first spotted on the catwalks last spring, is inspired by nature, focusing on floral tones. Since we are all wearing masks and it’s virtually impossible to wear a bold lip, it’s time to stick to neutral colored lipsticks. The easiest way to achieve this washed out look is to start off by applying concealer all over your lips. The second step is to dab a floral hued lipstick to the center of your lips and then blur the lipstick until you reach the edges. This is an awesome makeup trend for this summer!
